CEDISA Central de Aço S/A was founded at the beginning of 1980. It started its activities under the name of ‘Irmãos Dalla Bernadina S.A.’ Currently CEDISA commercializes steel goods mainly on the national market. Its head office is located in Laranjeiras - Serra, in the region of ‘Grande Vitória’.

The first branch was established in Itabuna,in 1984 to meet the increasing demand in the South of Bahia. Later in the same year a second Slitter machine, capable to cut from 1,20 mm till 3,00 mm of thickness, was acquired.

Its head office is situated in Laranjeiras - Serra, in the region of ‘Grande Vitória’. The first branch was established in Itabuna,in 1984 to meet the increasing demand in the South of Bahia. Later in the same year a second Slitter machine, capable to cut from 1,20 mm till 3,00 mm of thickness, was acquired.In 1988, after the opening of a new branch in Salvador; CEDISA started to commercialize pipes and U Beams, materials produced in specialized services in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. The raw material comes mainly from Companhia Siderúrgica de Tubarão (CST), Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) and Usiminas.

In 1990 the branch in Barra Mansa (Rio de Janeiro), was founded. A factory of metal roofing was installed producing trapeze and corrugated roofing from galvanized coils and zincalimes with a thickness variations from 0,38mm to 0,80mm.

With the intention of increasing its participation on the Brazilian market, in 2001 CEDISA installed a modern giders and oxy-fuel welding and cutting factory, with CNC diversifing then its products line.

At the end of 2004 CEDISA expanded its market to attend its necessity of storing its material and to install the third Slitter machine, with capacity to cut steel plates between 4,50 mm to 12,70 mm thickness.
